In New York for NYCC? Check out new Doktor A show at MPHA Postcard from New Yorkshire opens at Myplasticheart on 10/12
One of several shows opening over NYCC this year, Doktor A will be on-hand at Myplasticheart for his solo show A Postcard from New Yorkshire. The steampunk extraordinaire is getting adventurous with his work in the show, pushing boundaries and showcasing newly acquired skills. Anticipate intricate details in custom toys, including the Popbot shown to the right, as well as ink drawings. Show opens on Friday, October 12 from 7 – 10pm. Dok A will be in attendance at the opening and make sure to welcome him because this will mark his first visit to NYC. Show runs until November 11.... [ read more ]

Android Series 3 peek part 08Professor Skully McRivethead by Huck Gee
Each day I add more Androids to the library for the upcoming Android Series 3 launch they just keep getting more and more badass. This one from Huck Gee with a name that would make Doktor A proud comes 'Professor Skully McRivethead'. On Andrew Bell's blog blog.dyzplastic.com there isn't a mention of ratio for this figure like the others so I would assume at this point it's a ?:?? ratio. I don't think there is a figure that won't adapt to a Skullhead design.... [ read more ]

Doktor A will be at NYCC for release & signingGin & Tonic Chester Runcorn by Doktor A with signing at MPH Booth #3313
Not only will Doktor A be in New York in October for his solo show 'A Postcard from New Yorkshire' at Myplasticheart, he'll also be making an appearance at NYCC pre-releasing a new Chester Runcorn figure titled 'Gin & Tonic Edition'. The figure is produced by Kuso Vinyl, and will retail for $64.99. Be sure to check out the MPH booth #3313 on Saturday, October 13th for a Doktor A signing appearance. First shots of 'The Super Suck Up' at DCon 2012Featuring: Ferg, Frank Kozik, Doktor A, and Paul Kaiju
So it appears the The Super Suck Up! is in full swing with previews already released from Ferg, Frank Kozik, Doktor A, and Paul Kaiju. This Sucklord themed event, featuring 16 custom Sucklord Bootlegs at this years DCon 2012, November 3rd at the Pasadena Convention Center. This will be just one of many Sucklord themed events including a show 'Retrospective Art Show A Losing Proposition: 2004-2012', and his all-day Suckathon show where he'll be interviewing artists and whoever else happens by his booth. A variety of Ironclad Decimator Dunnys to choose fromDecimator Dunny by Doktor A and Kidrobot
Another Dunny release split between [m Kidrobot[/m] and their retailers along with a 3rd chase design similar to the Tree Hugger Dunny release from Kronk a few years back. I believe the Doktor A's 'Professor Teslastein' design from the 2Tone is the creator of these creatures. I'm definitely a big fan of the latest Kidrobot releases that have a bit more sculpting to them, rather than a simple paintjob.
