It seems that the Circus Posterus crew can't help make amazing things and travel around the world putting on shows for everyone. They arrive for their first every show in France 'Le Carnaval des Spectres' which opens tomorrow September 13th at the Artoyz Gallery in Paris. The show features work by all of the Circus Posterus crew: Brandt Peteres, Kathie Olivas, Travis Louie, Chris Ryniak, Amanda Louise Spayd, and finally new Circus Posterus member Teodoru Badiu. The show will feature a variety of originals, customs, and the drop of Teodoru's highly anticipated Wippo figure. myplasticheart will be presenting 'Origins in the Forest' featuring new works by Amanda Louise Spayd. Taking her inspiration from woodland themes, she infuses them into her characters to form brand new creations perfect for the autumn season. Her works make me think of old childhood toys from the same world the Travis Louie's characters are from. There has been a bit of a drop-off in the Newswire as of late. We suffered the loss of Trustpigs pumping out daily posts, combined with Blake and I trying to get conversations off the ground. In April 2011, there was a three-person group exhibition called Monsters & Misfits held at the Kusakabe Folk Museum in Takayama, Japan. The show's opening was on the eve of the Takayama Spring Festival, a massive event that draws roughly 200,000 tourists to the city every year. And the works of Kathie Olivas, Brandt Peters, and Chris Ryniak were there; their Monsters & Misfits show being a disaster relief fundraiser that featured exclusive Tomenosuke-syoten debuts and a bevy of custom figure art by the artists....
