No trophies for us at the DTA but someone on Trampt wonDTA Giveaway winner announced
So we were going to cover the event like one of those professional blogs, but a dead cell phone and a copious amount of drinks prevented that. Even though we didn't win spankystokes definitely deserved it with the amount of news he's been pushing out this year. My only beef with the category is to not call it 'Best Blog' next year ... so we might have a shot at winning. :) I also love that the person who has probably spent $2+ million on his art collection lost 'Best Collection' to someone that laid their collection out by color. Must take a more interested picture next year.... [ read more ]

Double show openings at Rotofugi tonightTough Enough by Amanda Visell & Bandimals by Michelle Valigura
Rotofugi has a two shows pening tonight (08/03) featuring new works by Amanda Visell and Michelle Valigura. Amanda's show titled 'Tough Enough' features 15 new paintings, with a variety of them at a tiny and affordable prices. Michelle's show titled 'Bandimals' features 10 animal themed ceramic sculptures. Boba Fett carved out of wood?Wooden Boba Fett by Amanda Visell
While there is no word yet on what this is for, it appears Amanda Visell has hand-carved and hand-painted a wooden Boba Fett figure. Based on the surrounding items, it appears to be roughly 12" tall and done in perfect scale to a normal action figure. Since she has been posting these production shots on her twitter account @amandavisell, it seems likely that she'll be announcing the purpose of the finished product on there shortly as well....
