Let's all make toys ... not warMelting Knuckles from Brutherford Industries 10/3
I was a bit behind on reporting this, but our buddy Ryan of Brutherford is dropping the first round of his new Melting Knuckles platform today Octobert 3rd at 12pm est. This first edition will be available in CYMK (Cyan, Yellow, Magenta, and Black), and retail for $40 each at his store brutherford.com. The piece is a scale to a real set of brass knuckles and a solid-cast polyurethane. These suckers also happen to glow under black light, looks like I'll have to head to my nearest Spencers gifts. Each piece is hand-cast by Brutherford Industries in New Jerysey, with all manufacturing and packaging materials from domestic suppliers. Glad to see Ryan doing his part of keep America running.... Three new Ice Scream Man flavors for NYCCBrutherford exclusives for Myplasticheart booth #3313
There was a sneak peek of just one Ice Scream Man a week or so ago from Myplasticheart but it seems Vin's been a bit sneaky and actually has three colorways from Brutherford dropping at NYCC. This asian themed flavored release will be sold as a set of three for $52 or individually for $20 and come in: Green Tea, Red Bean and Black Sesame. They will be limited to 50 sets and Ryan will be on-hand at the MPH booth #3313 on Friday at 12pm for the release and a signing.... [ read more ]

We had an amazing time in our booth at NYCC last year, but we missed out on a ton of the show ... including a few pieces I really wanted to grab. So there's about 5 weeks until NYCC is upon us, and I'm looking forward to hanging out with some old friends and finally meeting some online friends in person at the Designer Toy Awards being hosted by the master of suck The Sucklord. The public voting has wrapped up and the DTA board are voting on their picks for the remaining categories.
