Kevin over at Outsmart Originals has been teasing their EXTENSIVE artist roster for the last few weeks leaving many of us to speculate what the hell empire he's building over at Outsmart. Up on his instagram account he just posted a photo of what appears to be a Jon-Paul Kaiser design on a sweatshirt. Not sure if the clothing is the entire brand or just a piece to go along with toys too. I'll definitely corner Kevin and some of the artists to find out more in a few days at NYCC. JPK is wrapping up his last customA New Hope opening 10/11 at Yoyamart
As NYCC fast approaches, Jon-Paul Kaiser posted a WIP of his final customs for his new show ... a R2D2 custom on a 5" Mini Sprayee Qee. We've seen a variety of peeks over the last few weeks of his show A New Hope opening on Thursday October 11th at 6pm over at Yoyamart. Though knowing Jon, these peeks are just a small sample of what is sure to be ridiculous event. With the exception of this R2D2 reveal, and his Boba Fett reveals, most of the figures appear to be more minor characters which leaves be to believe there will be a big reveal of the main characters at the show. Jon-Paul Kaiser is making another NYCC trip across the pond for a variety of reasons, including his solo Star Wars themed show 'A New Hope' over at Yoyamart on October 11th. Another great reason is to hock some merchandise over at the Tenacious Toys super booth #3121, including this exclusive Mini Bear Qee from JPK. Jon will be making a signing appearance but no word yet on date or time from Benny. Outsmart Originals x Frank MysterioFrank Mysterio announced as an artist working with Outsmart Originals
Kevin Winnik, who's been running the USA division of Toy2r has parted ways and started a new company called Outsmart Origials. No word yet on what they'll be producing, we have seen posts on some artistst that Kevin will be working with in this new venture. A few weeks ago they showed a design from Jon-Paul Kaiser and now popping up on my facebook feed is this image featuring a design by Frank Mysterio. So there's about 5 weeks until NYCC is upon us, and I'm looking forward to hanging out with some old friends and finally meeting some online friends in person at the Designer Toy Awards being hosted by the master of suck The Sucklord. The public voting has wrapped up and the DTA board are voting on their picks for the remaining categories. Jon-Paul Kaiser will have his first solo show on U.S. soil during NYCC 2012 over at Yoyamart opening on October 11th and featuring a variety of Star Wars themed customs.
