Last Rites Gallery for the third year in a row has decided to find out what several of today’s brightest art stars are capable of when asked to create ONE piece that could be considered truly ‘dark art’. Many artists find themselves in the groove of creating a certain mood or emotion through their work and have, understandably, become quite comfortable following this path in their art-making. At Last Rites Gallery we want to break that mold and challenge the artists to create art that searches through new or buried feelings and emotions. The artist’s will let go of the light and allow the dark to thrive, as pop takes on a new form. Participating artists include: Buff Monster, Esao Andrews, Scott Musgrove Mark Dean Veca , Daniel Hyun Lim, Glenn Barr, the PIZZ, Brian Despain, Mr. Christopher, Beau Stanton, Molly Crabapple, Michael Page, Mark Elliott, Mark Garro, Gaia, Noaur, Amy Crehore.

Remedy

Taking thematic inspiration from the need to find cures for disease this group art exhibition will consist of each artist creating an original piece of art inspired by the theme. 25% of all exhibition sales will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation to assist in their research into discovering cures for breast cancer. This particular exhibition has a very personal connection to me as I am a breast cancer survivor, being diagnosed less than a week after signing the lease agreement to open Rivet. In it's own way, I'd like this exhibition to help in a small way to further fund the research that played such a role in my own treatment as it has in countless other lives.
