Smaller Dunny sets more fun to collect?

Don't get me wrong, I love a lot of the 'main' series of Dunnys that come out but I'm never willing to buy a case anymore because you end up with 50%+ of the case either designs you're not crazy about or dupes. Also with ratios meaning I would probably have to buy 4+ cases to secure an entire set is VERY off putting.

The smaller sets like the new Apocalypse and others like Gold Life, 2Tone, or Endangered you get nearly the entire series. There is also less boxes per case, making it cheaper if you do want to try your luck with two cases. Haven't picked up a case in a while, but the Jon-Paul Kaiser and Huck Gee being pretty common makes me want one.

How many of you guys are picking one up?

Totally agree. While I've had really good blind box luck this year the 2011 dunny series was a world of duplicates that kind of turned me off to it. I feel like these new smaller collections are really talilored to customer feedback, kidrobot has become distinctly aware that real collectors are buying these pieces to put in cases, and are more likely to continue to buy from KR if they are getting what they need for their collection

deadhero13 probably just gonna grab a couple off the secondary market. blind box dupes = no fun! over 11 years ago

GrimmShepard v yea, that works too, i do like these smaller series though cause your way more likely to pull one for $10 that will end up costing upwards of $40 on ebay, like the JPK dunnys from 2012 series. with apocalypse your way more likely to pull a super awesome one by just buying one case and you never have to deal with ebay prices over 11 years ago

Agreed!  Really looking forward to the Apocalypse series - awesome designs so will hopefully be able to pick up a case :)  I felt like I picked up so many more dupes in the 2012 series and I've ended up giving loads away.  Similar experience with 2011, but I dunno, didn't mind that one so much as they had the build-a-dunny pieces to collect too.

I always put my blind box luck down to karma ;)

Has any one heard if there's a case exclusive in the works for Apocalypse? Similar to how they had with 2Tone?
