Here are some prints that just recently returned from the framers and now sit on my studio wall. Once we're all setup I'll add more pics. :)
Muppet prints by Michael De Pippo
Simpsons prints by Tim Doyle from Unreal Estate Show

keegan a thanks ... the thing that kills me about prints is your so happy you got something awesome for like $40, but then paying like $150 to frame it sucks away a bit of the happiness ... at least from my wallet. :) about 12 years ago
Easily_Amused LOL! I believe in conservation at all costs, but loath the high outlay for propper framing. Fortunately, www.bagsunlimited.com has a poster and print section (http://www.bagsunlimited.com/c-433-prints-poster.aspx). If your like me, you buy way more than your wallet can afford to frame or wall space to hang. So, you can atleast store it properly and frame slowly. about 12 years ago
I *just* got Where I Rest by Audrey Kawasaki, Night Falls On the SNPP and 742 Evergreen Terrance by Tim Doyle. I LOVE them all, but I must say my favorite is probably the Kawasaki, so much detail and beautiful!

masao626 congratulations on the kawasaki! she is absolutley one of my favorites and some day, i will own an original! i'll be 80, blind and on life support, but who's counting! about 12 years ago
Not toy related, but my most recent artwork purchase was a Lion-O sketch by Rob Guillory.

For those that don't know, Rob is the artist on the comic CHEW. Everyone should be reading CHEW. You should buy issues and put it in your neighbors mailboxes to turn them onto CHEW. CHEW is awesome. Seriously, at least go to your local library to see if they have the first trade paperback available.

My last pick up was Aaron Horkey's Pan's Labrynth print. Absolutely jaw dropping in person.

Easily_Amused Cool, Thanks! I see that a lot and it makes me stop, because I cross it with difgital art. about 12 years ago
I have been collecting art for several years, but just recently found Art Toys. So far i find I prefer production runs of Art Toys (Prints) and not customs (originals). I think this is due to not understanding the custom market and pricing. My views will probably change as I learn more about the market. Unfortunately, I live in NVA and there aren't any Toy Art Galleries here to see customs in person. However, I have bought my collection of 22 art toys in the last two months over the internet.
As for prints, I am a firm believer that Giclee's (unless hand remarked by the artist) are not art. Instead, they are akin to pictures in books. However, I will buy them if I like the image, they are signed, and the price isn't inflated by manufactured rarity. I do collect other forms of prints that involve the artist in the making process such as wood block prints. I just bought "Retainer, Throwing devil King to Ground at indhana Mountain in Kai Province" from New Forms of 36 Ghosts by Yoshitoshi. I am in the midst of purchasing "Emma-o" The King of Hell Judging the Souls of the Dead by Kuniyoshi.
I also purchased four original paintings this year so far (mostly works in collage), and will probably get four more this year.
So, I guess if it is Giclee VS Original I will buy original. If it's production run art toy vs custom, I will buy Production run (for now).

Last 'print' purchases were these two pieces by Dave Borba - limited run wood carved works
and 2 'prints' by Serge Birault (i quote them because, by Easily Amused' definition, they're not art prints - but i liked 'em :)
Sashimi's Revenge and White Chapel

Easily_Amused That sucks, were you able to file a police report or sue them for the lost paintings? over 9 years ago
Today (4/12/12) I bought MC Supersized - Porcelain, Porcelain Kosplay, and Porcelain Potamus Red direct from K.olin Tribu as an early birthday present to myself. Also, I was notified the OMFG! GID Edition Kickstarter went through so I am now the owner of two of those packs (Yeah!).
Yesterday I bought the print IOU from Rivet Gallery, and a print from European Bob.
Next up...

I bought 4 of Tim Doyle's prints from the Unreal Estate, 4 of Michael De Pippo's Muppets prints, plus I have Olly Moss's Zelda print which I'm still waiting to receive. I want a bunch more but I'm literally running out of wall space. :)
