Can't see them ending production perminantly as they are so popular, but who knows. Maybe they'll become rare, collectable and if you're lucky signed by the designer.

Easily_Amused I know it is still online, but the people in the store told me that they stopped producing them two months ago because of Defects in the production process and wont start again until it is resolved (This was last Friday). So, I think if you place the order online it might not get filled for a bit, or you might get back stock that could be defective. They don't even have floor models any longer in the store. over 10 years ago

benpierce25 v From the problem Travis and I ran in to buying them for DCON, they were few and far between on finding them. The one we first went to was sold out until January, and the other we went to was supposed to have 15 and we bought the four they had left in the store. I know there was an IKEA we found that had about 20, but that would have been impossible to drive to and back from. over 10 years ago

Easily_Amused Hmmm. I'm all the way over on the East Coast, so my store wouldn't have been affected by the Cons. I will believe what the Ikea employee told me, no new ones will be produced until the defect in the manufacturing process is fixed. My guess is any in stores are leftovers. over 10 years ago

Okay, I called my local Ikea and they said they now say it is discontinued. I tried ordering 5 online and they said there weren't that many available. I think their online inventory is tied into the stores. Will someone outside of the DC metro/VA area see if they are able to order? Thanks!

Easily_Amused I think that they are selling off whatever is lying around the stores, so if you're not in my area you might still have a chance to get one. But, you will need to buy it now. over 10 years ago

The IKEA in Sunrise, FL didn't have any but I went on the site and found that on the product page they have a drop down for you to select your local store and then you get a "Click here to view stock prognosis" link which is telling me that tomorrow they would be receiving a number of them.

Not sure if that's just FL though :O
