I have their zombie kit, holding onto it until nehphews are both old enough. Pretty nicely done, good sculpting.

Easily_Amused I know right!!! I posted it on my FB page for my friends there and one actually wrote "Gay" as a comment. I need to defriend him (not really). Toy lovers get no respect. This actually makes me want to try my hand at a custom. almost 12 years ago

Easily_Amused Speaking of you know the Sucklords work and how he bootlegs other peoples work? Is their any tutorial on how people do that? i'm fascinated to know the process to reverse engineer a mold. almost 12 years ago

Statusquo-trampt-493f

statusquo I've never seen anything to show you how to do that. I love the idea of this though, I need to make my own superheros. almost 12 years ago

Easily_amused-trampt-2928f

Mister-Quiche m If you're interested in casting your own stuff I recommend you check out the tutorials Tesselate has put together; http://madebytesselate.com/guides/ Sucklord uses 2 part molds. He strips them apart & casts the head, body & arms seperate. almost 12 years ago

Mister-Quiche m oops, hit enter by mistake! i know with some of his stuff the upper body is cast separate to the lower & then glued (this was the case with the suckator (MOTU) figure almost 12 years ago

Easily_Amused @Mister-Quiche Thank you! I will check them out. I don't know if I will ever try it, but it will help when shopping to understand the process/labor involved. almost 12 years ago

Mister-Quiche m Look forward to seeing what you come up with :) with regards to making your own i'd say give the one part mold a try first, see how you like the process, i really enjoyed it when i tried almost 12 years ago

Webecomemonsters-trampt-539f

webecomemonsters v Yeah start small, do a custom head for one of these or something. Heads are almost always suitable for a one part mold, you can just stick it in a cup, basically, and pour sil into it (not ONTO the sculpture, let it creep up) until it covers it by a half inch or inch. almost 12 years ago

Easily_amused-trampt-2928f

Easily_Amused Does the sill create a layer under the head when you do this? almost 12 years ago

Webecomemonsters-trampt-539f

webecomemonsters v No, you don't let it, just glue or clay peg the bottom of the neck to the bottom of the cup. That will end up being the hole you pour resin in later. almost 12 years ago
