Forgive me for being honest but it's a genuine question. I have, but due to lack of confidence (don't ask) it always just remained an idea...
Basically it was for two vinyl figures, just two, based on the Australian legends of the Bunyip and the Yowie. The Bunyip is sort of like a Water Monster descended from aboriginal myth and the Yowie is a Yeti or Bigfoot like creature originally from aboriginal myth as well. My idea was to design a figure for each then have maybe three different colourways for each, the third colourway would be desinged in conjunction with an aboriginal artist and all proceeds from that figure going to them or their community. It's just a silly pipedream I know, but oh well we all gotta dream!!! U_U

Sooky Having said that I can happily while away hours focusing on one of my drawings, so much I lose track of time... almost 12 years ago
Easily_Amused Sweet! Share some pics of your drawings. almost 12 years ago
I think cash and no local rotocast facilities are my only personal barriers to vinyl. For resin, theres no excuse, sack up and make them! If the sculpt doesnt turn out the way you want it, keep working on it. When it's done if you screw up molding, make another. You can do it if you want to, even without confidence. confidence isnt relevant until you try to market or sell (which I've nearly given up on already, but my plan to breakout of hating marketing* in all it's forms is to simply fill my studio with toys, then I won't have a choice other than throw 'em out or start trying to sell again.. as long as I keep producing I havent failed)
*I have a hard time with the hype/spin/fluff stuff, not with doing the work. All it takes to sell a toy to me is price and a photo, so I have a real hard time trying to go beyond that to sell my own stuff.

webecomemonsters v Yeah I wouldnt want to smash it to powder or anything but you can definitely use mess ups as filler, and also the same with silicon, chop up old molds for filler in new ones( in some cases not always ideal ) almost 12 years ago
Easily_Amused Would grinding into a powder with a mill be better (assuming you wear air filtering gear)? almost 12 years ago
Once we get some more coding/features done on Trampt I want to try and take a bit of a break from the everyday hustle and create some sculpts & prints that have been floating around in my head for a while. We're also probably going to but on a show or two ... maybe at the end of the year or begining 2013. Lots to get in order first. :)

Easily_Amused I look forward to seeing some WIP PICs. almost 12 years ago
yup, for sure, maybe try teaming up with someone? also, Perks and Mini (PAM) have a figure called Bunyip I guess they interpreted it as a water bong monster?! why not give it a go in clay first, see what you come up with? im sure there are people who can help you with mold making / resin pouring. (i could maybe find some help for you)
I have experimented before & can say for sure it's fun, you can see some of my experiments here

There was also an ad some years back by ReachOut for youth suffering from depression that had some truly awesome ideas in it for vinyl figures, they could have made a small run of maybe three of the characters from the ad and sold them at a charity auction in some trendy gallery to moneyed up yuppies in Sydney or Melbourne to raise funds. Of course you'd have to get permission from the artist, but I think they'd love the idea!!! ^_~
Here's the ad for those who are interested...
