Solitary Rider I tried heaving myself into a different obsession, but her absence always pulled me back to where I started. I suppose that’s what addiction is: a force that cements you in place while tricking you into thinking you’ve gone miles. And I was addicted. To both the not-knowing and the possibility of knowing, to the thought that she might be out there about to pick up the phone and say my name. This thought alone compelled me to live, though the way I spent my days could hardly be called living. Solitary Rider Carbon Fiber Sculpture with Spring Base, 2014 by Mark Landwehr & Sven Waschk (coarse) Pink Edition of 3 42 x 48 x 24 in 106.5 x 122 x 61 cm
