"Not too long ago in the southern region of our great nation certain bottom-feeding, water-dwelling creatures were only eaten by the poor and the enslaved. The upper and even middle class would turn their nose in disgust at the idea if dining on a fish that scavenged for food. Stories were told to the young exaggerating how nasty these beasts truly were.... slowly through time myths became a reality. Now more than just a fish, they have taken on attributes of much of their lore including vicious fangs and a bi-pedial stance. In small ponds and swamps throughout Georgia, these "Bottom Feeders" have been seen lurking both in and out of the water."
