"The Gatekeeper" figure is an interpretation of the gatekeeper character that pops up in different mythologies and folklore. A character that exists at the crossing of the threshold of the Hero's journey- where beyond the gate lies the unknown. Matthew's interpretation of this scene was inspired by a Tarot Card deck.
