Saint Bernard is Bernie Cotton's distant cousin who lives at the North Pole. Being nimble-fingered and quick-witted, he quickly rose through the elfish ranks and became one of Santa's top helpers. Most people assume that Saint Nick bestowed the "nickname" on his right-hand elf as a term of endearment. These people don't understand that Santa Claus is big into irony. You see, Santa christened Bernard a "Saint" out of good-spirited sarcasm. Saint Bernard is a mischievous, puckish fellow who's highly prone to pranks and shenanigans. His presence guarantees high-jinx and eliminates boredom.
