So we were going to cover the event like one of those professional blogs, but a dead cell phone and a copious amount of drinks prevented that. Even though we didn't win spankystokes definitely deserved it with the amount of news he's been pushing out this year. My only beef with the category is to not call it 'Best Blog' next year ... so we might have a shot at winning. :) I also love that the person who has probably spent $2+ million on his art collection lost 'Best Collection' to someone that laid their collection out by color. Outsmart Originals x Frank MysterioFrank Mysterio announced as an artist working with Outsmart Originals
Kevin Winnik, who's been running the USA division of Toy2r has parted ways and started a new company called Outsmart Origials. No word yet on what they'll be producing, we have seen posts on some artistst that Kevin will be working with in this new venture. A few weeks ago they showed a design from Jon-Paul Kaiser and now popping up on my facebook feed is this image featuring a design by Frank Mysterio. Qee-Zilla is on the loose!The Qee-Zilla Kid from MCA and Toy2r
Hide yo kids, hide yo wives cause Qee-Zilla be destroying everything! MCA has teamed up again with Toy2r to bring you a new monstrous Qee for your collection. This design appears to be available in two versions, as is the case with most of the MCA and Toy2r releases, but no solid word on dates or price. I'm really hoping this guy will popup at NYCC. The fellahs over at Toy2r just filled my inbox with FAKIR's upcoming Mini Bunee Qee series set to drop soon. I don't have a release date, hopefully sometime before NYCC, but I'll update once there is something solid to report. I've wanted a FAKIR custom for a while now, so I have to thank Toy2R for making them accessible since they should retail around $28 based on previous Mini Qee releases.... [ read more ]

Three unreleased Pandaimyo AP's from Jon-Paul Kaiser available nowPandaimyo Mini Bear Qee by Jon-Paul Kaiser
In a seemingly rare move these days, Jon-Paul Kaiser has put up his AP's of the upcoming Pandaimyo colorways from Toy2r before the official release. These Mini Bear Qee's are available individually in 'Royal Guard' and 'Moutain Clan' for £20, but if you'd like the 'Fire Clan' colorway you'll have to buy the full 4 piece AP set for £80. Toy2r has been dropping new releases daily, this time from our buddy across the pond Jon Paul-Kaiser. Seems like Jon jumped in with both feet with Toy2r as more and more figures keep popping up from this collaboration, most recently the Deep Blue Sea edition of Jon's popular Captain Sturnbrau figure. FAKIR + Yakuza + Toy2r = Must HaveUpcoming Mini-Qee Series by French artist Fakir
This info from Toy2r just hit my inbox right before I was about to head out the door, but I had to make sure I made a quick post about this badass collaboration. I've been a big fan of Fakir for a while now, and like JPK's Toy2r series, I couldn't be more excited to see this happening. Looks like there will be a variety of Mini Qee releases starting with a Mini Bunee Qee in August with others to follow. I love seeing more work coming from Jon-Paul Kaiser and Toy2r, but now I have to wait until this summer to see what this guy looks like in person ... unfair! If the quality is anything like his Captain Sturnbrau figure I'm sold. From the release it looks like this Mini Bear Qee is coming out this summer and will retail for $28. There is a bit of a cliff hanger from Toy2r by stating 'be on the lookout for other members of his warrior clan…' ... maybe JPK can shoot me a sneak peek. More news as we hear it.... [ read more ]
