So there's about 5 weeks until NYCC is upon us, and I'm looking forward to hanging out with some old friends and finally meeting some online friends in person at the Designer Toy Awards being hosted by the master of suck The Sucklord. The public voting has wrapped up and the DTA board are voting on their picks for the remaining categories. I thought I would make it interesting by making some guesses on who I think will win in each category. Like one of those oscar parties, except there will be prizes and no one will care what everyone is wearing.
So here are some prizes that the winner will be getting:
So post your guesses below, and whoever guess the most categories correctly will win. There will probably be some other prizes for those that participate, and I'll definitely have some stuff to giveaway at the event.
My picks aren't necessarily who I think should win, but who I think will win ... but there is definitely some overlap. Good luck to everyone playing and those nominated ... guesses will close on October 10th. In the event of a tie whoever posted their guesses first will win.
Blake and I started Trampt back in 2010.. We love pouring all our free energy into more features, and soon we'll have... [more]

keegan a I am very skeptical that we won best blog, though I did hear from many members that they voted for us everyday. So maybe a small group of people who voted everyday will beat the bigger blogs who had many people only vote a few times. :) over 11 years ago
statusquo I voted daily like clockwork, had the voting in my Google Calendar with an alarm and popups. I just stuck with how I voted, win or lose. :) over 11 years ago

Toy of the Year – Benny the Dreamer
Brand of the Year – Circus Posterus

Break Through Artist – Brutherford Industries
Outstanding Production – Lady Butterfly
Best Customizer – Beast Brothers (Note: I don’t like this category as most of these people make original art or simply use a toy as an armature for a unique sculpt)
Best Mini-Series – Robotone Sprogs
Best Self-Produced – Sushi Kaiju (the Madl’s shouldn’t have even been considered since only one colorway was released during the consideration period with the rest released during next year’s consideration period)

also i think it should also be factored in that it's harder for NON-US stores to get artists like baseman, ledbetter, mcpherson to come to events outside of the US. lilo pulled it off anyways!
for all the above mentioned criterias i think i could name 2 examples each from the top of my head for the eligibility period where the sixxa store vienna exceeds all of the finalists. over 11 years ago
