Release: In March 2010, Rivet and Andrew Bell paired up to release the exclusive edition O-No Sushi. This Ashley Wood figure will cost an even $90, and 3AA members will have access to an exclusive dark-haired version wearing a Cloven Heart t-shirt. Recently Buff Monster did a massive mural on a wall outside the Standard Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. The sprays for it were provided by the Montana Store Los Angeles so, as a "thank you" to them as well as to commemorate the mural, Buff has made an extremely limited edition print — only 50 copies exist — for a special event at the store. Plus the infamous Hit + Run Crew will be in attendance to do a live shirt & hoodie printing for the masses. The Pain figure platform is impressive; if, for no other reason, the vinyl form towers at two feet tall. So when well-known custom collector Johnnyvinyl came up with an idea to customize one of these behemoths into a Yakuza & Samurai flavored butcher design, he turned to talented and detail-oriented artist Early Bird to oversee the process. The end result is a wonderful figure, from the ultra-realistic body tattoo down to the butcher's apron & knives. The bandages and blood marks are almost icing on this cake… that is, they would be, if it wasn't for the fact that Pain's iconic cowlick has been replaced with a beautiful Samurai-style topknot. Who doesn't adore Ashley Wood's Popbot, the figure line based on his 2002 comic series about a rock star kitty cat and a robot bodyguard? Just released (as in available for preorder now) is a sweet box set of Popbot goodness. The exclusive online Action Portable Popbot 4-way Set will cost you $180, but you get four robotic forms of your favorite machine (one of which, the Two-Hand Gunslinger Popbot, is exclusive) and each box also contains a 1/12th scale Kitty. The name Matthew Bone might not be recognizable now, but he's certain to take the geek community by storm. Mixing imagery of geek culture — whether it be Star Wars action figures or comic book covers — with "hot chick pics" straight out of skin mags, Bone's oil paintings beg to be noticed … and you'd have to blind not to want to look at them. His work is currently on display at the La Luz de Jesus Gallery, in a show entitled "Paradise Lost" though the gallery space itself is divided between four different shows at the moment.
