Alright so it's time to just fall in line and do an 'Official' Trampt #FollowFriday post with four great artists to follow. For some reason Sunday nights are impossible for me to get this done so I'm hoping this will be a bit easier to get out on a more consistent basis. If you're not familiar the original 'Must Know Monday' featured four artists that had some cool stuff going on this week. So it's the same thing ... just happening on Friday's now. Anyway, on to our featured artists
Featured for Designer Toys: Peskimo
Jodie and David (aka Peskimo) have been in the designer toy game for a while. They've recently teamed up with Noferin for the upcoming '[s Jibibuts - Artist Collection]Jibibuts - Artist Collection/[s]' series set to drop soon. I got to have dinner with Rich last year during NYCC, and I got say on top of being a great artist he's one helluva nice chap. I said it that way cause he's British and all. Anyway, Rich has been cranking out some amazing customs along with his own hand-cast figures. His 'Wookie' for the May The 4th Be With You which opens tonight is stellar. Also, the piece we featured on this post 'Lambert' for the Dragons Custom Toy Show is another knockout. Featured for Art Prints: Aesthetic Apparatus
Dan Ibarra & Michael Byzewski make up Aesthetic Apparatus and while there is only 50 prints currently in the site they've created 100's over the last decade. They also have a few designer toys under their belt. After stumbling on one of their prints in the site, it made me look through the rest of their work, then I jumped over to their store and ended up buying two prints, including the one featured in this post. This is what I hope the long-term purpose of Trampt becomes over the next year or two. Aaron's is yet another example of an artist that I found by browsing around what other members are adding to the site. He's been a variety of group shows at Gallery 1988 including: Crazy 4 Cult : 5, Old School Video Game Show, and 1988 X GPK. It looks like he'll have some work for his upcoming show 'It All Comes Rushing In' at Distinction Gallery.
