Most of you know at least two of these artists, but you should know all four as they're dropping some amazing releasing in the coming weeks including a hugely successful kickstarter campaign. Each week we pick some artists we like who also happen to have some stuff going on this week that we think you should know about. Whether it's a new release, upcoming show, or just some cool stuff they're recently made. Anyway, on to our featured artists

Featured for Designer Toys: Kaws

I've said before that I have a love/hate relationship with pieces from Kaws. I love the Companion, both original and the dissected, but a lot of his 'licensed' items I could definitely live without. His original , Tweety, and who can forget the Kaws brand lightbulbs. That said I do love that he's gone back to basics with a revamped dissected Companion titled 'Resting Place'. Does the name signify the end of the Companion figure, or is it simply related to his pose? If you're looking to pick up this piece I hope you're lucky, since it will be released first lottery style at OriginalFake in Japan and possibly online later at kawsone.com on August 31st. Otherwise good luck paying through the nose on eBay. You can check out more of Kaws work at original-fake.com.

Featured for Custom Toys: Michal Miszta

Michal, also know online as TheModelMaker, is known by many for his sculpting skills. Especially after winning Best Sculpting in the Munnyworld 2012 competition for his 'Dragon Baby' piece which was created for the Dragons Custom Toy Show which opens next week at The Sho Gallery. His new piece is for the upcoming Fans of Tea 2 show featuring a variety of custom Lunartik in a Cup of Tea by different artists. I'm sure we'll have more about that show soon enough. In the meantime go check out more of Michal's work at themodelmaker.net and follow him on twitter at themodelmaker.

Featured for Art Prints: Jed Henry

So I don't know much about Jed Henry except what I've seen from his Kickstarter video. Jed has created a variety of prints in a traditional Japanese ukyio style but using classic video games as his inspiration for the series. He's titled the series Ukiyo-e Heroes which are available as both Giclee prints, or traditional wood block prints through his partner David Bull who has been carving wood blocks in Japan for nearly 25 years. Obviously this project is big hit seeing as he earned 10 times his funding goals of $10,000 in the first few days alone. Visit Jed's kickstarter campaign in the next 15 days to grab one or more of these great prints.

Featured for Original Art: Jason Edmiston

Jason is an extremely talented illustrator known for his pop culture realist paintings. One of his latest pieces 'Robocabbie' was the show poster for the amazingly successful, though slightly annoying to buy work from, Crazy 4 Cult 6 show that opened last week at a Gallery 1988 popup shop in NYC. His subjects range from G.I. Joe to old monster movie favorites and everything in between. I walked by his booth plenty of times at NYCC last year, but since we had to man our booth I didn't have a chance to check out what he brought. This year though we'll be all over the show. You can pick up some of Jason's awesome work at his etsy shop etsy.com/shop/JasonEdmiston.
