Had the pleasure of talking with PlaSeeBo (Bob Conge) at our booth last year, and I hope he's around at NYCC year to chat a bit more. The images are part of Bob's new show 'Bob Conge / Recent Works' opening tomorrow 9/22 at Phillips Fine Art & Frame. The show will debut his 'The Misfits' series, and be filled with customs and new sculpts like the War Masquerades as Innocence pictured to the right. Bob has also customized a few of his previous platforms Night Gamer & Skulloctopus, and you can expect a variety of found objects and custom sculpts throughout the show.

Bob Conge's recent works opens on September 22nd with a reception from 1-5PM and runs through October 20th, 2012 at Phillips Fine Art & Frame, 248 East Ave., Rochester, NY 14604.

from Bob Conge:
"THE TOY AS ART" would be a befitting phrase to describe the arena my recent work inhabits. These are pieces inspired by the vivid memories of a fervent belief in the likes of Santa and Frankenstein, the tragic loss of that vibrant reality and on occasion my revulsion with the reality of today. My pieces find expression in the form of small sculptural figures in vinyl or resin and large folio limited edition prints.
