Mighty Jaxx has done an amazing job putting together a series of great releases in a row. They've stayed away from trap of trying to create a 'platform', and instead relied on the artists to create an original sculpts that people want to buy ... much like Strangeco back in the day. Their new release, 'Love Bomb' by Phunk Studio, is another step in that direction. Available right now for pre-order, this 12" high-gloss resin figure is limited to 100 pieces and retails $288 each. Order now at mightyjaxx.com and it will be delivered in Q1 2013.

Love Bomb is an original life sized art sculpture by Phunk, which was shown at their solo exhibition titled “Universality” at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Taipei. Mighty Jaxx worked with PHUNK to release this 12 inches tall version of the Love Bomb. The process was not easy but with the help of project partner 3D Matters, we have attained the final prototype. Love Bomb will be released at Art Stage Singapore 2013. It is now available for pre-order here.

Pre-orders also come with a print (I believe it is postcard sized). I am really in love with what Mightyjaxx has been doing, if you are interested in any of the other pieces Rotofugi is offering them for pre-order (I need to find out if they are going to pre-order this one too).
