Kaws seems to be going back to basicsResting Place Companion by Kaws & Original Fake

I generally have mixed feelings about stuff from Kaws and Original Fake. For the most part I'm not a big fan of licensed merchandise so that rules out a majority of the toys and clothes they produce, but I have to admit I've wanted a Companion since I started collecting. Well it looks like I might finally have a chance, ok small chance, to get one at retail. No word yet on size, price or release date but we got this image from a Facebook post saying it will appear soon on both OriginalFake and kawsone.com. I'm also assuming multiple colorways of this figure going on past companion releases.

The release of this piece sucks so far.
From what I'm seeing it will cost 25,200 Yen and be sold by lottery to customers who physically come to the Original Fake store at 9am in Japan on Aug. 31 and Sep. 1.
I really hope he will sell some online too.

As far as I know Kaws hasn't released a new toy since I started collecting. So, is Kawsone.com the official american site, while original fake is the Japanese site? Which do you think I will have a better chance of purchasing this from?
