So after some code updates, and other goings on at Trampt we're going to get right back into the swing of things and we'll post up a bunch of news today starting with our much overdue Featured Artists. Each week we pick some artists we like who also happen to have some stuff going on each week that we believe you should know about. Whether it's a new release, upcoming show, or even some cool WIP. Anyway, on to our featured artists.

Featured for Designer Toys: Scott Tolleson

Scott Tolleson should have probably been Artist of the Week ages ago. He is a toy pro in every way. As a collector himself he knows what makes designer toys so great, which I guess is why every single one of his toys totally hits the spot for me. His nerd-chic bespectacled critters are sweet, smart, and extremely high quality. Personally, I am a huge sucker for the Nosellots, which I already wrote about back in August for the Nosellots Super Show Shindig at Screaming Sky - but the man has been busy since then. Android S3 released just a few weeks back with his smart-clad droids as a chase figures, and even more recently Dynamite Rex unveiled a shot of an upcoming Raar! named Theo. I also had the pleasure of watching the ridiculous acceptance video for his much deserved Designer Toy Awards for 'Best Plush Design' last weekend. Big congratulations on that from your big fans here at Trampt! You can find out more about Mr. Tolleson on his site stolleart.com or follow him on twitter @mrscotttolleson.

Featured for Custom Toys: f+ (Josh Pearce)

F+ aka Josh Pearce lives in a magical fantasy world, and lucky for us, we're all invited. Every time I see a reveal of one of his customs I wish I had known about designer toys back in my D&D days. His piece for the The Two-Faced Show was beautiful, eerie, and gorgeously crafted. The custom commissioned Tequila popped up on one of my feeds and his blues and golds instantly filled me with nostalgia for all the fantasy novels of my childhood. If like me you're jonesing for his next creation, the wait is almost over. Yesterday he released his adorable and leafy Autumnal Fiends. They're small but vicious and gloriously orange to get you in the mood for some pie and a light sweater. You buy one over at fplus.bigcartel.com now for a mere $45. Be sure to check out more of what Josh is doing at fplusnever.com and on twitter at @fplus.

Featured for Art Prints: Dave Perillo

Dave Perillo has also already been in our news wire recently for his participation in the two-man show Around the World in an 80's Daze with Tom Whalen. His work is clever, colorful and will make you wish you knew your way around Adobe Illustrator (or at least that's what it did for me when I encountered it some years back on Deviant Art). He had a busy Comic Con with two gorgeous officially licensed G.I.Joe prints debuting at Acidfree Gallery, and a totally adorable tribute to Moonrise Kingdom release on Saturday at the Spoke Art Gallery booth. There's also still a few prints available from Gallery 1988 so go check them out. For more info on what he's doing next you can keep track of Dave Perillo on his blog at montygog.blogspot.com and on twitter @montygog.

Featured for Original Art: Jason Limon

I've wanted to write about Jason Limon for as long as I've been in charge of writing these features. I can't overstate how much I love his paintings. They've just got everything I love in art: great color, spooky skulls and big glossy eyes that just make you want to snuggle even his creepiest critters. Even though he's featured this week for his original art, I also have to take a moment here and reference his custom toys. His sculpting is just phenomenal, so check it out. If you find yourself out in NM you can currently spy some of his work at Bewitching II, the Stranger Factory annual Halloween Show. He's also got a solo show there coming up in February so keep your eyes peeled for news on that coming soon.
