Artist of the week? More like artist of the two to three weeks - am I right?! Doesn't quite have the same ring to it, though, does it? Well here they are in all their glory, four incredible makers that you should know.

Featured for Designer Toys: Parra

If you've seen shiny, highly saturated bird people, then it's a good bet you already know who Parra is. With an incredible cult following in Europe and in the US, Parra's screenprints tend to be very limited and his porcelain sculptures aren't necessarily compatible with the average person's budget. Lucky for us, we can score some of his amazing work in toy form thanks to his recent collaboration with Kidrobot. The first version of Pierced, in his trademark red and blue, came out last June, and if like me you've been kicking yourself ever since for not getting your hands on it, you got another chance last Thursday with the release of Pierced - Shades of Grey. Although it's already sold out on kidrobot.com, you can still get your hands on it at one of their retail shops (maybe) or from one of the other fine toy retailers (I got mine while writing this from the wonderful folks at rotofugi.com). With so many more 3D pieces that would look amazing in vinyl I'm looking forward to seeing a lot more toys from him in the future.

Featured for Custom Toys: NIkejerk (Jared Cain)

Nikejerk, sometimes also known as Jared Cain, is a full time graphic designer and a part time badass toy customizer. In the last five years he's customized over 100 toys, all of them amazing. His recent custom, The Dianimator, complete with accessories and a captivating backstory, made him an irresistible customizer-of-the-week.. This is just the latest in his ongoing Nikejerk - Dunny Mutations series. This guy is prolific so keep a close eye on his flickr for the latest and greatest.

Featured for Art Prints: Brian Ewing

Brian Ewing is a print designing machine. He's one of the most sought after and prolific poster designers out there, and he's designed for almost all my favorite bands. His crisp lines, creative half-tones and grungy backgrounds have set a tone that so many other poster designers try and fail to imitate. His latest print Graveyard, is now available for purchase on his online shop, but with only 100 of 'em out there I'd hurry up if I were you.

Featured for Original Art: Stella Im Hultberg

There's no denying that when one paints juicy-lipped, big-eyed, nouveau-haired goddesses, one inevitably ends up with something pretty… but some people do it so much better than others. Stella Im Hultberg paints disarmingly beautiful portraits. Informed by her diverse cultural heritage and her appreciation and understanding of so many different mediums she often straddles the lines between sketch and painting, 2D and 3D, surrealism and abstract. I loved her most recent piece at the Year of the Snake show which opened last week at Giant Robot - LA.
