I believe I first saw a peek of these guys from Benny of Tenacious Toys snapping some Instagram pics over at a recent toy show in New York. A week or so ago there was a spread in a trade magazine, followed by Kozik's announcement , and now we have the official release info from Kidrobot. These new 'Skeleton Labbits' will be available in two editions 'Something’s Under the Bed' and 'Frightmare'. Each colorway is 10" tall, limited to 666 pieces each and will retail for $75 on April 25th at Kidrobot Stores, kidrobot.com, and select retailers worldwide.

For those in San Francisco, on April 25th from 6-8pm Kozik will be on hand at the Kidrobot Store for the release. The first person to post a pic of themselves with Frank and he's smiling I'll send a Trampt sticker pack ... seriously. :)

from blog.kidrobot.com:
Kozik likes to call him Janus Labbit. The Skeleton Labbit smorking to the past and the future. Featuring the classic white Kozik icon fused with a detailed relief sculpt Labbit skeleton, the two faced vinyl Skeleton Labbit stands 10 inches tall and embodies Labbit’s beginnings and endings. Originating in the world of myth, these gatekeepers are limited to 666 pieces worldwide. Guarding the doors of time starting April 25 at Kidrobot stores, kidrobot.com, and select retailers worldwide. Skeleton Labbits are $75 US

He is the Labbit of beginnings and transitions. Of gates, doorways and time.

He is a two-faced figure and he looks to the future and the past.

Use him as a guide to open the doors of perception, baby.

Smork dem bones.

Donnie Darko anyone?  Especially with the little blurb that goes along with the piece.

I assumed from the first set of pictures that this was more in line with his old-school Bounty Hunter labbits and the front would reveal the skeleton but the back would be the solid Labbit back.

I don't actually think this was a great design
