The figurative ink is not yet dry on the last artist feature, yet as we work to get into a better routine it seems like it's time to choose four more. Here are this week's artists that you should get to know, like, immediately.

Featured for Designer Toys: Mr. Clement

The mysterious Mr. Clement has made quite an impact on the toy world, despite absolutely not being a toy designer (or so it used to say on his site). His ultra simplistic perky-eared Petit Lapin, and the wistful Ji Ja bird have both become icons of toy perfection. Mr. Clement is a nom de plume for the artist's lowbrow sculpture and painting work, but who can fault him for wanting to hide his true identity? I wouldn't want to give my name out to this whacky crowd either. If like me, however, you're stoked to see what he's got for us next, DKE Toys just announced a Ji Ja SDCC exclusive, hand painted, signed, numbered, and yours for a mere $45 at booth #5045. For more info on Mr. Clement visit his site at mrclement.com

Featured for Custom Toys: Haus of Boz (Laura Copeland)

I have a customizer confession: I've been harboring an unrequited love, and her name is Haus of Boz. Her flawlessly sculpted, brightly colored, doe-eyed critters tug at my heart from across the ocean. She lives and works in England, and it's from this far far away land that she regularly releases her beautiful woodland customs. You may have missed Toxic Lammi early this month, but fret not because you can soon expect her very first limited resin figure, Ghost of the Narwhal, dropping July 2nd at 8pm BST. For more on her new works and how you can get your undeserving hands on them, visit her website or follow her on Facebook

Featured for Art Prints: Eric Tan

Am I a little too excited about tonight's show opening? Maybe. The glow of living in this city is a long way from wearing off and the easy choice for this week's featured print artist is the very same we'll be seeing tonight at G1988, Eric Tan. He spends his days as an artist for Disney Consumer Products, creating retro posters and style guides for all of our favorite movies, but in his off time he likes to, you guessed it, create more retro posters! Gotta love a guy with this much commitment to his calling. The consistency in his style, his incredible sense of color, and his exceptional skill as a graphic designer and typographer single Tan out as a bona fide pro. Check out his show opening tonight at Gallery 1988 (east) and on display until July 20th. For more info follow his blog.

Featured for Original Art: Charlie Immer

Last weekend at G1988's show "Space!" one piece dominated my mind as a clear favorite. Charlie Immer's Navigator is a petite 10"x10" panel, but so powerful that it stood out to me in that crowded room, and I couldn't help but keep coming back to it. I've never seen anyone combine anatomy, ooze, and sheer painting brilliance the way he does. You might have run into his work in HiFructose Magazine, but if you've never seen it before, take a gander on his site. With a broad palette that rests somewhere between Times Square candy store and the swirls on a soap bubble, the gruesome monsters are softened and you find yourself empathizing, even as guts and slime leak out through gnashing teeth. Check out his piece still up at Gallery 1988 through July 20th, or follow him on twitter if you like following someone who never updates.
