I'm sorry to say that from a mom's perspective (admittedly a pretty uncool perspective) I'm not a huge fan of Spongebob Squarepants. However, as a force of contemporary character-driven animation that's been rocking millions of childhoods for fourteen years, it has really made an impact on illustrators and animators everywhere, and in that way it's warmed my heart as well. For this reason I'm super excited about finally visiting Gallery Nucleus this weekend, for the opening of their show Nautical Nonsense on Saturday, July 27th from 7-11pm. With some good friends hopefully along for the ride, we'll be there taking pictures and chatting up the creative geniuses in their natural habitat, and I urge you to come join us. Want another reason to come? Check out the incredible list of participating artists below. If you can't make it this weekend don't fret, the show will be up for your viewing pleasure until August 11th.

Nice show, looking forward to interpretations of Spongebob. Nychos posted a pic yesterday of his wall for Nickelodeon, too bad he isn't in the show. Anyway, this sounds fun!
