So we were going to cover the event like one of those professional blogs, but a dead cell phone and a copious amount of drinks prevented that. Even though we didn't win spankystokes definitely deserved it with the amount of news he's been pushing out this year. My only beef with the category is to not call it 'Best Blog' next year ... so we might have a shot at winning. :) I also love that the person who has probably spent $2+ million on his art collection lost 'Best Collection' to someone that laid their collection out by color. John Stokes will be flying out to the East coast this week for NYCC to hang-out, cover the event, and be his all-around awesome self. He'll be bringing a variety of hand-painted OMFG! Strolls, and you might be lucky enough to find another hand-painted version in at Designer Toy Awards lucky bags. Outside of John's customs there will be an official OMFG! Stealth release dropping at Onell Design's booth #3216 and Big Kev's Geek Stuff booth #3261. This is the second release of color changing OMFG! and they'll be $10 for the set of 5. Over the last week or so DKE Toys have been leaking teasers of Alex Pardee's new Bunnywith series set to release at SDCC. Some people were speculating on more of his Bunnywith Plush figures, while other thought it might be t-shirts, prints or who knows what. The final word is a series of five 3" injection molded GID figures . Only one figure will be sold per day at the DKE Booth #4728, they'll retail for $5 and includes one corresponding screenprinted vinyl sticker bagged with a headercard.... [ read more ]
