Skewville is an art collective consisting of identical twin brothers, Ad & Droo, best known for their custom wooden sneakers. In the late 1990’s, the duo started witnessing the evolution of graffiti as it changed into the ever-popular Street Art movement. The need for a new media space gave birth to their wooden sneaker mission. In 1999, the twins started creating the fake shoes to make their mark in Street Art. In the years that followed, they have produced thousands of pairs and tossed them over power lines around the world in a quest to go “All Globe”.
For this show, each participating artist was asked to create a set of custom wooden sneakers, to be displayed as part of the group show hosted by Clutter.
