Howie Green is a Boston-based painter and artist whose colorful artwork has been featured in over 40 group and solo shows and has adorned over 30 public and private murals. Howie uses a pop-fauvist color palette to portray imagery of popular culture with an upbeat approach. He says people always tell him they love "his colors". Howie responds: "My colors? They don't belong to me. Colors are out there floating around. I just happen to use them all!"
Howie's album cover paintings won first prize in the Absolut Vodka 25th Anniversary art competition, and one of his portraits was selected for the cover of the Biggie Smalls tribute album. He continues to live by the mantra "It's never too late to have a happy childhood."
