I was born in Bethlahem, Israel but grew up in sunny St. Pete, Florida. My mother worked as a world cultures teacher and as a result I was exposed to an incredible range of cultural art during much of my childhood. An early and unstoppable passion for art led me to a magnet high school for art (Pinellas County Center for the Arts), and eventually a BFA from Maryland Institute, College of Art.
In 1997 with an art degree in one hand and a lump of clay in the other I started sculpting ceramic figures. It’s been an adventure. I’ve had shows all over the country and was awarded a year residency with the Houston Center for Contemporary Craft (www.crafthouston.org).
