Ace the Bathound

Gouache is an opaque, water-based paint that combines the fluidity of watercolor with the boldness of acrylic or oil paint. It consists of pigment, water, and a binding agent (usually gum arabic), with added chalk or white pigment to enhance its opacity. Gouache is popular among illustrators, designers, and fine artists for its rich color payoff, ease of use, and adaptability across different styles and techniques. Mondo is pop culture brand, built for collectors. We work with incredible artists who share our passions to create posters, soundtracks, toys, and more – products that share a rare, unexpectedly vivid and timeless quality. Mondo humbly began as a quasi-bootleg t-shirt shop located in the basement storage hallway of a single-screen movie theater. In 2007, Mondo began working with major artists and studios to create beautifully designed licensed products. We started with posters, then soundtrack LPs, and finally toys and other items, and have blossomed into the ever-expanding hydra of entertainment collectibles that we are today. In 2022, we joined the Funko-verse, helping us to continue bringing fans and friends our curated approach to pop culture. I started working professionally in art when I was 15 as a caricature artist at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia. After graduating from Savannah College of Art & Design I moved to New Zealand with my partner Frank for three years, where we began working on Tiny Kitten Teeth and Tigerbuttah together. We re-located to Los Angeles in 2011, where we have both worked in comics, children’s literature and animation.
