When i was 14, i became a paraplegic, which naturally has caused each and every aspect of my life to change dramatically. the unexpected loss of my legs has become an extremely significant inspiration to create art. art has pretty much always been "my thing," but it wasn't until my situation arose that i really began to use art on a different level than most artists. creating art is basically my only form of ventilation. instead of giving up or screaming, i draw and paint. it's my sanity, especially during unbearable moments. art (in many forms) has slowly formed into a serious addiction, and i love the fact that i can't get it out of my system. i feel like i'd be nothing without my art, as well as the so called "handicap" that has led me to my endless supply of motivation.Stationed out of our Mothership in Philadelphia we are Invading this planet to bring you toys. Each of limited quantity and premium quality meant to collect and bring joy, these "toys" are a perfect means to infiltrate. At first it's just one art toy, a cool vinyl figure that speaks to your style, then another, and another. Soon you won't be able to stop and WE will take credit for that!Mixed media tends to refer to a work of visual art that combines various traditionally distinct visual art media. For example, a work on canvas that combines paint, ink, and collage could properly be called a "mixed media" work. When creating a painted or photographed work using mixed media it is important to choose the layers carefully and allow enough drying time between the layers to ensure the final work will have integrity. If many different media are used it is equally important to choose a sturdy foundation upon which the different layers are imposed. Many interesting effects can be achieved by using mixed media. Often, found objects are used in conjunction with traditional artist media, such as paints and graphite, to express a meaning in the everyday life. In this manner, many different elements of art become more flexible than with traditional artist media.
