About this Platform

A Munny is a figure created by Kidrobot and made out of vinyl with movable joints. The initial idea was undertaken by taggers/ street artists/ street art designs and toys from (illegal artists) who have come to bring back their work legally to the public to display their works. The figures are blank and the owner can decorate them using pens, pencils, markers, paint, and other supplies. Alternatively, some people commission artists to design Munnys for them, or artists design them to sell. In MUNNYWORLD, you can do anything you want! MUNNY, BUB, TRIKKY, RAFFY, and ROOZ are the soft, super smooth vinyl figures that make up MUNNYWORLD. Each one is a blank canvas, and all ready for scribbling, piercing, painting, posing, piling, dressing up, and sculpting into forms straight from your imagination or you can keep them just as they are. See how great you truly are. Do amazing things and create more than ever before. And, most importantly, have fun with MUNNYWORLD This toy show is to expose a little sample of the vast network of toy makers world wide nation wide, and local from indie, small toy producers, customizers, to top designers and artist, that form part of the thread of the toy community, critter, monster, horror, surrealist, surrealist pop, and contemporary, urban art. Some of these toys are customized toys from urban vinyl toys, Kaiju inspired toys or Kaiju custom toys, Original sculpts, Original resin productions, small limited vinyl independent runs, contemporary sculptures, Plush and mash up’s. Nerviswr3k is the artistic alias of American artist Gabriel Rivas, a Phoenix-based sculptor and designer renowned for his intricate, biomechanical creations that delve into themes of mental health, dystopia, and inner turmoil. Since entering the designer toy scene in 2006, he has developed a distinct style characterized by monstrous figures adorned with sharp teeth, cybernetic elements, and surreal anatomical features. Rivas’s work is deeply personal, often reflecting his experiences with mental health challenges. His sculptures manifest as paranoid delusions of overlords, infestations, drones, and personifications of pain, among other demons . These themes are brought to life through his use of mixed media, incorporating materials like recycled computer parts, polymer clay, and acrylic paints to create textured, layered pieces .
