About this Artist
Born in the 70s and raised in the 80s, Saturday morning cartoons and sugary cereal helped me create little clashes of nostalgia. Music, sci-fi and pop culture all bundled together to form hand- crafted resin figures. Call them art, call them toys, either way, my mum says they’re really good. The story of Delicious Again Peter began in 1977, not because that is the year I was born, but because it was the year that Star Wars was released... I've never truly grown up and I refuse to let go of the beautiful memories I have of playing with and collecting toys. My formative years consisted of playing fantasy war games, reading comics and listening to Hip Hop. While these passions of mine aren't necessarily connected, they're never too far from the core of my art. Peter Clark A bootleg action figure is an imitation of an authentic action figure that is made by someone other than the official manufacturer. Bootleg figures are often sold as originals, but they can look very different from the authentic figure in several ways Over 60 international artists take on our annual celebration of the art of the action figure. Intended to elevate action figures, bootlegs and other retro toys, this exhibit recalls the heyday of the Action Figure format – the 1970’s and 80’s.
