Gouache is an opaque, water-based paint that combines the fluidity of watercolor with the boldness of acrylic or oil paint. It consists of pigment, water, and a binding agent (usually gum arabic), with added chalk or white pigment to enhance its opacity. Her clients include The Girl Scouts of America, HalfPrice Books, Quarto + Quintet Publishing, Wired Magazine, Seltzer Goods and Colombia Magazine. In 2008, she curated Pop Euphoria!, the largest compilation of contemporary international illustration in Central Massachusetts, which received much national acclaim. She continues to work in comics, recently releasing her first graphic novel with writer JJ Kahrs; Pirates of Mars and is currently working on an adaption of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein set for release 2012.
