About this Series
The Most Wanted Artist Collective came together during the first Most Wanted Custom Artist Series back in June of '09. Driven by our ever growing fan base, we'll continue to bring you future collaborations and original customs by some of the biggest up and coming urban artists and customizers from around the globe. This page is dedicated to our third installation of the Most Wanted Series, and along with our blog, will be one of the best ways of getting up to date news on MW3, the artists behind the name, and awesome surprises along the way. The toy is based on a rabbit figure with distinctive tubular ears. The origin of the name Dunny came from a combination of street slang and one of the early "Devil Bunny" prototypes. The Dunny is sold in four sizes - 3", 5", 8" and 20". The toy has three points of articulation; a 360 degree rotational head and two arms. An artist card or sticker is also included with the 3" Dunny from a series. Most 3" Dunnys and some 8" Dunnys are normally sold as "blind assortment"; the figure is packaged inside a sealed foil wrapper, such that the buyer is not able to see which figure and accessories they are buying. Sealing the figure prevents people from opening and peeking in the boxes and buying only the figures they want. Most Dunnys are packaged inside a clear plastic bag in addition to the foil wrapper. In the second-hand market, this assures the buyer that the article was never on display and is in a "new" condition. With the success of vinyl toys as a medium for expression, many fans and artists have put their own design onto blank Dunnys. Frank Mysterio is a Mexican artist and designer known for his bold, psychedelic, and graffiti-inspired art toys. His work blends elements of Mexican folklore, lucha libre, lowbrow art, and street culture, resulting in eye-catching, highly detailed designs that often feature skulls, masks, and intricate patterns. Mysterio is particularly recognized for his use of bright neon colors, airbrushed gradients, and tattoo-like linework, giving his figures a unique and unmistakable aesthetic. He frequently customizes sofubi (soft vinyl) toys, adding his signature artistic flair to established platforms while also creating original designs. His work has gained international recognition in the designer toy scene, leading to collaborations with various toy companies and artists. Mysterio’s fusion of Mexican traditions with contemporary urban art makes him a standout figure in the global art toy movement.
