8" Platform created by Andrew Bell in March 2014 Suburban Vinyl is a well-known designer toy store and art gallery based in the United States, specializing in collectible designer toys, limited-edition figures, and unique art pieces. Located in Ridgewood, New Jersey, Suburban Vinyl has become a prominent destination for fans and collectors of urban art, street culture, and contemporary toys. The store carries a wide range of designer toys from established and emerging artists, offering exclusive releases, blind box figures, limited-edition vinyl toys, and art prints. It often features products from popular names in the designer toy world, including Kidrobot, Superplastic, Fluffy House, and one-of-a-kind pieces from independent creators. In addition to being a retail space, Suburban Vinyl functions as a gallery that showcases artistic exhibitions and collaborations with well-known artists in the designer toy scene. By night I make customs. I got into doing customs toys in 2010, and what started as a hobby has turned into a lot more. I strive to do things I haven’t seen before. Custom toys are the only medium I’ve been able to look at, see exactly what I want in my head and then create it. My work technique ranges from the extraction of shapes, to threading, to the insertion of toothpicks or blocks. Regardless of the method, I always want my work to stand out. My customs have been shown at NYCC via Toy2R, as well as in several West Cost shows.
