About this Artist

Born and raised in Mexico City, Rodolfo showed an interest in drawing and painting from an early age. He enrolled in several courses and graduated with a bachelor degree as Graphic Designer and Illustrator. Rodolfo has worked for various companies but his passion for movies took him on a different path as a freelance designer. He has created posters for short films and paid tribute to several movies in his artwork. He has also entered the editorial world by illustrating several book covers. Having mastered a characteristic Art Deco style, he is always looking to experiment with diverse styles and tools, in this process he has been inspired by masters such as Maurice Cassandre, Saul Bass, Drew Struzan and several contemporary colleagues. Rodolfo has already won several poster and design awards and his fan base is growing all the time as more and more people are discovering his wonderful artwork.Screen printing is a printing technique that uses a woven mesh to support an ink-blocking stencil. The attached stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer ink or other printable materials which can be pressed through the mesh as a sharp-edged image onto a substrate. A roller or squeegee is moved across the screen stencil, forcing or pumping ink past the threads of the woven mesh in the open areas. Screen printing is also a stencil method of print making in which a design is imposed on a screen of silk or other fine mesh, with blank areas coated with an impermeable substance, and ink is forced through the mesh onto the printing surface. It is also known as silkscreen, seriography, and serigraph. Our gallery specialises in limited edition screen printed movie and music inspired artwork from around the world.
