About this work
A figurine that appears to be a stylized character with a distinct design. The character has a skeletal or skull-like face with prominent eye sockets and a mouth full of sharp teeth. The body is adorned with intricate patterns, resembling tribal or tribal-inspired designs. The character has elongated arms and legs, with the arms ending in what looks like clawed hands. There's also a small skull pendant hanging from its neck. The overall design gives off a gothic or horror-themed vibe.Born into the greyness of England at the end of the Seventies, by the age of four Jon-Paul Kaiser knew that what he wanted to do in life was a draw. From that point he rarely strayed from that path; scribbling and doodling his way through School, College and University. After working with Porlzilla, Jon-Paul decided to go it alone concentrating at first on the toy customization scene, building up a name and strong reputation for himself with his stark Black & White custom style, influenced by comic book art, film noir & Ukiyo-e prints. This lead to him being approached by established toy producers for designs for their platform toys. Principally amongst these are Toy2R who have released numerous JPK Platforms. The Toy Art Gallery is the first gallery of its kind to showcase and consult on high-end art toys and sculptures. Our goal is to showcase exciting, original, and new artists who use figurative sculpture as their primary medium of expression. We also focus on showing, collecting, and producing high end, limited edition, custom, and life-size toy sculptures. Our showroom and gallery is located in Hollywood, California. One of our specialties is to provide availability on rare and desirable toys, life-size figures, bronze sculptures, and one-of-a-kind custom figures created by some of the leading artists/toy designers from around the world. We also have an incredible selection of aftermarket fine art originals and prints created by the leading pop surrealist and low brow artists working today. Our aim is to provide the best works from these artists at a fair market value and priced to fit a variety of budgets.
