Founded in 2002 by designer Paul Budnitz, Kidrobot is the world's premier creator of limited edition art toys and apparel. Kidrobot creates toys, apparel, accessories, and other products in collaboration with many of the world's most talented artists and designers. The products sold at Kidrobot are the centerpieces of a global movement that exemplifies the cutting edge of both pop art and mass culture. Artists often create a series of only a few hundred Renegade spray paint cans are primed to bomb the streets with this new blind box mini series from mastermind artist MAD. Inspired by his sold-out 2007 Bent World Vandals Series, Spray Cans are here with a total of 16 designs ready to make their mark on society. Each character is "Bent" with an angled posture and equally crooked personality. Each can comes in two versions - a "new," fresh from the hardware store, and a "used," dripping with paint and well-placed tags from MAD and some of his favorite artists, including kaNO, Marka27, Jesse Hernandez, Scribe, Pon, Brunson and Sket One. Each 2-inch figure features a removable cap, articulating arms, and makes the telltale metallic rattle noise when shaken. Donald Ross also known as “scribe” is 37 years old and currently lives in Kansas City, Missouri of the United States. The animated, public murals by Scribe are readily recognizable in Midtown Kansas City and throughout different part of the United States, Canada and down into Mexico where he has both painted murals and had gallery shows. Scribe incorporates a menagerie of animal characters developed over many years representing a particular, self-referential trait that he inserts in various scenarios. Scribe intersperses personal iconography, biblical and fairytale references, animation and metaphor in works intended as contemporary parables for public audiences, hence the use of his artist name and persona. Through accessible idiom and image, Scribe incorporates humor and play in the conveyance of serious messages regarding personal integrity, attainment of knowledge, and adventure. In the past five years scribe has been focused on a diverse career in art. He is currently the Art Director at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City where he does everything from graphic design, painting murals throughout four locations around the metro and managing large scale design and installation of a Terrazzo Flooring project.His most recent project was airbrushing the hospital owned Lifeflight Helicopter.Outside of his duties
