Collaborating with artists worldwide, we produce outstanding art figures with exceptional quality. While art figures are our core focus, Mighty Jaxx also serves as a outlet for us to turn extraordinary ideas into reality. We collaborated with well known Singaporean artist, Clogtwo, for our first figure. 2012 will see us releasing a few more prototypes including art figures and functional design for the art toy community. Born and raised in Toba, Japan, Yoskay Yamamoto moved to the United States at the age of 15. A self-trained illustrator, Yamamoto's artistic tastes expanded as he fell in love with the urban culture of the West coast. Yamamoto discovered a way to fuse the two different cultural backgrounds together into his work. Yamamoto nostalgically blends pop iconic characters from his new Western home with tradi- tional and mythical Japanese elements, balancing his Asian heritage with urban pop art. About October 10 - 13, 2013 Javits Center | NYC NYCC is the second largest pop culture convention in America and the only one that takes place in the comic book, publishing, media, and licensing capital of the world -- Gotham City. Our show floor plays host to the latest in comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies, and television, our panels give fans a chance to interact with their favorite creators, and our screening rooms feature premieres of films and TV shows months before they hit either big or small screens! Established in 2004, myplasticheart is a toy store and gallery dedicated to bringing the best in both the designer toy and contemporary art world together in one place. Located in the Lower East Side in New York City myplasticheart provides one of the largest selections of designer art toys anywhere. From mini figures to plush to art books and prints you will find a wide range of unique art and design products related to the designer toy culture. The myplasticheart gallery hosts monthly exhibits showcasing many contemporary underground pop and urban artists and illustrators from all over the world. myplasticheart has exhibited works by Julie West, Chris Ryniak, Shawnimals, Andrew Bell, Scott C., and Aya Kakeda to name a few.
