Born in Santa Monica and raised in Tokyo, Tohru Patrick moved back to California in 2001 and has worked as a character/concept designer for animated movies such as "9" (Focus Features), "Legend of the Guardians" (Warner Bros) as well as "TRON: Uprising" (Disney Television) and many other film development projects. Although he swings digital pens hell out at work, Tohru Patrick also has attached a great deal of traditional watercolor painting of his own in the last several years. Recent group exhibitions include "Totoro Forest Exhibit" at Cartoon Art Museum, "Breath of Embers", "Hollow Thoughts" and "All Together Now" at Gallery Nucleus in CA, "Crazy 4 Cult" at Gallery 1988 in CA and NY, a duo show "風炎/FOHEN" at haleARTS SPACE in CA. Chris graduated from Cal Arts and has gone on to design and write on many popular and groundbreaking animation projects. Ren and Stimpy, Power Puff Girls, Samurai Jack, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, to name a few.
