About this Event
Five Points Festival is America's premiere Designer Toy festival, bringing together the shining stars of Designer Toys, Street Art, Indie Comics, Enamel Pins and Apparel from all over the world under one roof! Clutter Gallery is a leading contemporary art gallery specializing in the vibrant world of designer toys and lowbrow art. Located in the artistic community of Beacon, New York (home to the world famous Dia museum), Clutter Gallery has established itself as a premier destination for collectors and enthusiasts alike. Since its inception in 2011, the gallery has been dedicated to showcasing the work of both established and emerging artists who push the boundaries of pop culture, street and low-brow art. In addition to its dynamic exhibitions, Clutter Gallery also houses an impressive permanent collection of Designer Toys, curated by the team behind its renowned print publication. This collection serves as a testament to the gallery’s deep-rooted connection to the designer toy movement and its commitment to preserving and celebrating this unique art form. Originally, the concept of restore is to bring back something to an original condition. The goal of "RESTORE" project is to add a new & fresh idea into this time of classical-minded and doubt. That is "RESTORE". It's fun for me to sculpt statues of prototype. But Most of them are the character that has been already created by somebody else. I can arrange them, but won't be able to be an origin. That is the problem. "Original" That's what i wanna be. I'm so sick and tired of lots of similar type of TOYS of this world. I want to create something more conceptual & functional & cool as well... in other words, something that i can find out various values from different angles. Every piece of my work deal with "Present", because I'm living in the present moment. The nearer to the present, the closer to the truth.
