About this Event
"Love should be everywhere in our daily life. Because Love is invisible, and we can’t touch it or buy it, we usually pass over it. Modern society lacks Love due to a lack of communication. If I want Love from someone, and I don’t give the person Love, it’s unfair. It’s wrong just requiring Love from someone. If you start giving Love to people around you, Love will be everywhere, and we can live happily. If the world were to embrace the Love Movement, it would solve many problems we have." –Nao "Many creators put their Love into this exhibition. Please feel their Love. Giving Love will bring even bigger Love back to you. We can spread Love. That is the Love Movement." –Shin ABOUT About Born in London in 1968, the eldest of four. She was a shy introverted child lacking in self confidence with a passion for drawing. At 13 she was sent away to boarding school, a Church of England private girls school with compulsory morning and evening chapel services. At first it was a living hell really, and it was art and music that helped transport me away. Although her mother had plans for her to have a career in medicine she had other ideas, and with the support of her headmistress and art teacher they managed to persuade my reluctant parents to let her study graphic design, which as it turned out was absolutely useless. She studied ‘old school’ methods, that’s to say, cut and paste by hand. Computers had not quite come to her college yet, but by the time she left they were the new way. To add insult to injury, after she graduated and was looking for work, schlepping her portfolio all over town — it was promptly stolen, and she had nothing to show for her years in college. Lucky for her, this time wasn’t a total loss — because it would be the town where she’d meet her Born in London on March 30th 1964 to a loving and outgoing mother. He hated school and apart from art classes found the whole thing rather frustrating and useless. At the age of 15 he left school and lived for a year in Morocco with his mother, brother and sister. The cultural difference was very liberating. Upon his return to England at 16 he worked at a record music store and in 1982 became a DJ and was a stage manager for a large nightclub in the south of England. This is where he met his wife Sas in 1989. In 1992 Colin moved to the U.S where he and his wife started a small business making latex clothing for fetish stores around the country. Their work was featured in Penthouse and Skin Two magazines. Taking what he had learned from the clothing manufacturing and combining it with his interest in movie special fx, Colin started to produce fiberglass figures and displays. In 1998 he produced his first production figure, an anime girl called "Suki" - a towering 7 feet tall and anatomically correct. Colin decided to put his career on hold for a few years to take up commercial sculpture. Sas
