About this Artist
Since meeting in art school in 2004, Laurens (Loulou) and Chantal (Tummie) have been creating colourful characters and stories for children, adults, and leading brands alike. Their distinctive, playful style has lent itself to books, animation, toys, packaging, advertising and everything in between. They served world renowned brands such as Netflix, Disney, Google, Samsung, Nickelodeon and Warner Bros. Besides commissioned projects they develop self-initiated projects like prints, pins, hand made toys, wooden figures and kids clothes. Andrew, an avid Android user himself, teamed up with some friends at Google to bring their little green mascot to life. Series 1 features 12 different designs in blind-boxed cases of 16. Pick up a few and try your luck, or grab a whole case to secure a nearly-full set. Be on the lookout for some super rare chase editions. Each vinyl figure stands 3” tall and features a rotating head and arms. Dyzplastic is the designer toy brand created by Andrew Bell, a well-known artist and toy designer. The brand is most recognized for producing high-quality vinyl figures, often featuring Bell’s signature blend of whimsical, creepy, and playful aesthetics. One of Dyzplastic’s most famous projects is the Android Mini Collectibles series, created in collaboration with Google. These figures are based on the Android OS mascot and come in a variety of artistic designs, including collaborations with different artists. Aside from Android figures, Dyzplastic has also produced original designer toys, often inspired by Bell’s dark yet humorous take on creatures, food, and pop culture. Many of the brand’s creations reflect his artistic style, which blends soft curves, bold colors, and surreal, sometimes unsettling, themes.
