DesignerCon is an annual art and design convention that smashes together collectible toys, customs, plush, designer apparel and so much more with urban, underground and pop art! Q Pop is the exclusive southern California seller of Harajuku fashion labels Algonquins and Sex Pot Revenge, as well as the exclusive US seller of Super Lovers. We also carry Swimmer, Hip Hero and many other creative and fun designers. Located in the historic Little Tokyo area of downtown Los Angeles, Q Pop features beautiful interior design by Justin K Thompson. It also features 2 large murals by renowned artists Kevin Dart, Chris Turnham, and Elizabeth Ito. Q Pop is also a mini gallery space. Exhibitions, events, and performances take place regularly. Q Pop opened it’s doors on Nov.12 2010 and strives to bring the best in worldwide creativity to you. CHRIS MITCHELL Co-owner Chris Mitchell is an illustrator , artist, and filmmaker. Chris graduated from Cal Arts and has gone on to design and write on many popular and groundbreaking animation projects. Ren and Stimpy, Power Puff Girls, Samurai Jack, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, to name a few. Chris was nominated for an Emmy for his work Shinichiro “AJ” Kato, known by his brand Art Junkie, is a Japanese artist and toy designer celebrated for his street art-inspired vinyl toys and unique aesthetic. His works often blend elements of urban art, graffiti, and pop culture, creating characters and figures that stand out with bold, graphic designs and a distinct Japanese flair. Kato’s creations are known for their edgy, rebellious energy, which makes them highly appealing in the designer toy and art communities.
