Sean D’Anconia has built a seductive visual universe by marrying cult-cinema & animation to a wild pop-art aesthetic. Born in Montreal, Canada, D’Anconia was named after another “Sean”-Connery—by his mother, an intrepid James Bond fan. This early “Bondian” bullet would fire itself throughout D’Anconia’s life and creative pursuits. After living and working in Italy, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Vancouver—this iconoclast Canadian designer/artist/cine-visualist is firing from all creative pistons. D’Anconia’s composite world is a “bio pic” of his own imagination: irreverent, prolific, explosive – based on an encyclopedic knowledge of popular culture past, and a knowing eye for future trend undercurrents years before they hit, D’Anconia’s Pop-Fusion Art, design, creative branding, collages, melanges all serve to integrate his punk-mod sensibility, which pops-out of a razor sharp eye, colored by an eastern tinted lens.
