About this Artist

Born and raised in Mexico City, Rodolfo showed an interest in drawing and painting from an early age. He enrolled in several courses and graduated with a bachelor degree as Graphic Designer and Illustrator. Rodolfo has worked for various companies but his passion for movies took him on a different path as a freelance designer. He has created posters for short films and paid tribute to several movies in his artwork. He has also entered the editorial world by illustrating several book covers. Having mastered a characteristic Art Deco style, he is always looking to experiment with diverse styles and tools, in this process he has been inspired by masters such as Maurice Cassandre, Saul Bass, Drew Struzan and several contemporary colleagues. Rodolfo has already won several poster and design awards and his fan base is growing all the time as more and more people are discovering his wonderful artwork. Giclée (pronounced "zhee-clay") is a neologism for the process of making fine art prints from a digital source using ink-jet printing. The word "giclée" is derived from the French language word "le gicleur" meaning "nozzle", or more specifically "gicler" meaning "to squirt, spurt, or spray". It was coined in 1991 by Jack Duganne, a printmaker working in the field, to represent any inkjet-based digital print used as fine art. The intent of that name was to distinguish commonly known industrial "Iris proofs" from the type of fine art prints artists were producing on those same types of printers. The name was originally applied to fine art prints created on Iris printers in a process invented in the early 1990s but has since come to mean any high quality ink-jet print and is often used in galleries and print shops to denote such prints. We work with artists studios and game companies to design custom posters and collectibles for collectors and partners
